The Hug Food Gives.![]()

I don’t remember ever hugging my Aunt Lou (our family weren’t huggers), but I do remember one time as an 8 year old when I spent the night & she asked what I wanted for breakfast.![]()
Burgoo was my reply, and we had burgoo for breakfast.![]()
There was always food to be had at Aunt Lou’s—maybe it was our language of caring—the way we gave hugs.![]()

The Kitchen served 405 meals this week—150 hugs on Wednesday & 255 hugs on Saturday.![]()
